About the Study
Mapping Queer OU is a unique and innovative study on LGBTQI+ experiences at OU. The results of this study will help create a visual representation of students’ experiences – a map with heat spots specifically. Imagine a map of OU that shows off where students find affirming and pinpoints our areas of growth. Being committed to social justice and equity means figuring out where we still have work to do and doing it.
If you self-identify as being a part of the LGBTQI+ community, including individuals who are questioning, intersex, asexual, nonbinary, and other identities that are not exclusively heterosexual and cisgender, and are a student at OU aged 18 or over, please fill out this survey. Your contribution is important in assessing and improving the experiences of students at Oakland University.
I am especially looking to elevate diverse perspectives, across race, sexuality, ability, faith, and socioeconomic status. If you also identify as a person of color (including African-American or Black, Asian Pacific Islander Desi (American), Latin@, Latinx, or Hispanic, Indigenous or Native American, Middle Eastern, multiracial, undocumented, a person with disabilities, gay/queer/bi/pansexual, an international student, and/or working class, you are especially encouraged to participate.
